This is a Crazy Description!
Crazy Taxi is a great game developed by Hitmaker that is nearly a perfect port from the arcade. The object to the game is to drive around one of two massive cities going around picking up people off the roads that have a little circle around them, and it is color coded too, so you know which ones will be long distance, or short distance. Crazy Taxi also includes some great Crazy Box missions where you do little fun goals, which adds to the replay value. Read more in the review.

Crazy Taxi Review.
When you first get this game you will be going 'crazy' at how fun it is. The game is simply addicting, the levels are huge and the game even punches in a few funny moments within the passengers and their comments. AM3 and Sega really put up something special with this awesome port from the arcade hit, Crazy Taxi
Graphics :: 9.3
Graphics are very well done. This arcade port has nothing bad against it's arcade predecessor. The frame-rate runs at a fast, constant 60 frames per second throughout the whole game, you may hardly ever or never experience any slow down, except when you get in water (yes, you can drive in water), and a few other places. The cabs are very well detailed with a good selection of types to choose from. The cities are really good also, with spinning up dirt as you go through grass, many pedestrians just walking around, tons of traffic, and one of my favorite features: Real world store and food locations, such as Pizza Hut, KFC, and plenty other stores and food chains. Great overall graphics.
Sound :: 9
As for the sound of the wickedly fun game. It is great. The songs are from popular artists like the Offspring and Bad Religion. But the variety or music is low and it can get a little repetitive. Some of the great sound effects include screaming, yelling pedestrians, complaining customers, tire screeching, and much more. The sound is mostly very clear with great voice, car, and city sound effects which give the game a great sound value.
Replay Value :: 9
It may seem when you first pick it up, you can hardly put it down. But after about fifteen or fewer fabulous hours of great fun, it starts getting a little repetitive. You memorize where every stop takes you, and go to the same places just about every time, it just isn't as much fun after that. But the Crazy Box Missions add a great element to the game, a good challenge that can hold you a little while longer. An extra ''original'' city also adds a good bit of replay; which was added along with the arcade city, found in... well, the arcade version on Crazy Taxi.
Gameplay :: 10
From the beginning you go to an easy to use and menu and all kinds of great options after that. You have two different cities to go to. The one which was in the arcade version, and a Dreamcast exclusive city. Which follows along as a San Francisco type city. Then you have many modes to further brighten this game. You can play arcade rules, in which you have a certain time limit and it can increase by the more people you drive and pick up. You also have three minute, five minute, and ten minute modes in which you just have the given time to pick up as much people as you can and take them to their desired places. To pick them up you just stop within a circle around them, the harder missions have red and smaller circles, and the easy missions have big green circles. To sum it up, the gameplay in Crazy Taxi is just magnificent, a great original concept, great and easy to learn controls, and the ability for you to just ''pick up and play'' the game any second without have to devote a long time in one session.
You can also learn things like crazy moves which can give you a little edge on the game. Like quick turns or a head boost. The crazy moves can be learned and master in the crazy box mission modes. You have little silly missions to complete within a given time. Like bust up balloons or jump 150 feet off a virtual cliff. It offers a good challenge and well welcomed feature to the game.
...And I sum it up.
If you like fast paced, great fun, go anywhere, big landscape driving games, don't hesitate for a second to pick up Crazy Taxi. It is a one of a kind game.
Overall :: 9.4
